On May 31, CareFor EAP, together with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ms. Pham Thanh Lan, HR Director of Meraplion, successfully organized the workshop “The Role of Psychology in Business.” This event attracted a large number of psychology students and those interested in applying psychology in the corporate environment.
In her presentation, Ms. Pham Thanh Lan introduced the HR structure and the role of the HR department in different types of businesses:
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): The HR department typically includes basic positions focused on administrative management and support for recruitment and basic training activities.
Large Corporations and Multinational Companies (MNCs): The HR department is usually divided into specialized functions such as talent development, performance management, HR strategy, and employee benefits.
Ms. Thi Phan, Managing Director of CareFor EAP, shared career opportunities for psychology students in businesses, such as HR specialists, employee development consultants, mental health experts, and organizational psychology analysts.
To succeed in the field of applied psychology in business, Ms. Thi Phan emphasized that students need to invest in developing the following skills:
Communication Skills: Effective communication helps students connect better with colleagues and clients and present ideas and solutions clearly.
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and understand human behavior helps students propose reasonable and effective solutions.
Consulting Skills: Learning to listen and provide helpful solutions helps students build trust and credibility in their work.
The workshop provided practical knowledge and skills, helping students seize career opportunities and develop in the field of business psychology. This workshop not only opened new doors for students but also connected academic knowledge with practical applications.
